Review of "Collective Remembrance" album (english translation and original italian text):

english translation

Really a great work!

Listening through the headphones, I've written down some thoughts.
I'm not a music critic, so I apologize for using connections to the music I often listen.

Don't Wait
The first part is something between Jeff Buckley and Pink Floyd, with a touch of Radiohead's The Bends and KidA, awesome. Wonderful orchestration with an exciting overdriven guitar in the final part.

Culling The Wolves
Incredible voice, I can hear Thom Yorke and Nick Drake singing, and when the woodwinds come in is a breathtaking moment. Once again, psychedelic Floyds... outstanding!

Take Me East
Thrilling intro! The most Cure-style Dark since Cure times! The guitar builds up unique spirals in which you can loose yourself... and then a sort of Dark Jazz, and at last, emerging from darkness, vocals and trumpets trying to rip up melancholy and dark.

Escher's Waterfall
From the previous wonderful dark, music seems to produce a beam of light, something similar to the ladder on the album cover artwork. Violins are pure joy here... my personal connection links this track to some works of Baustelle.

Escher's Waterfall Carried Both Us Away
Voice is sublime, to say the last, running on the same path of Drake and Syd Barret, but Alessandro's personality stands out with strength. Excellent string section along the whole track, in the whole album.

I like so much this work, and I'm spreading the word!

Quotations aside, just few connections to music I often listen, this work is really valuable.

Thank you so much for the chance to listen this work.

Culling The Wolves

Take Me East

Escher's Waterfall Carried Both Us Away

Davvero mi è piaciuto moltissimo e provvedo sicuramente a far girare!!!!
